Icing modelling programs can be used for simulating icing. Icing modelling programs are used for example in calculating shape and size of accreted ice. Modelling programs are commonly used for modelling icing on aircrafts.

Modern CFD tools such as LEWICE [2] [3] [4] and FENSAP-ICE [5] [6] are capable of modelling the icing in both the 2D and the 3D cases, as their main objective is the estimation of the geometry change due to icing. [7]

FLUENT is a CFD- code for modelling fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transfer and chemical reactions. [8]
